The PORTS PLUS project aims to validate and capitalize the knowledge and content produced within the previous PORTS project, which entails building a comprehensive direction that will be defined at public workshops and seminars dedicated to building green transport, sustainability and security in ports. The project is designed in such a way that the involvement of interest groups plays a significant role, such as: students who have knowledge of maritime transport and logistics, the work of public and private transport operators, as well as professionals who deal with these fields in the countries participating in the project. The project will elaborate on the challenges that affected the maritime economy during and after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, on the one hand; on the other hand, recent EU and international regulations that call for a new growth plan whose goal is to transform the EU into a carbon-free economy by 2050.
