Course for International Welding Engineers and Technologists

Course for International Welding Engineers and Technologists

Authorized training body (ATB) Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Nis - Center for Welding and Welded Structures organizes in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Montenegro, Course for International Engineers and Welding Technologists -IWE / IWT.

Due to the fact that welding, according to the standards for quality management system, ISO 9000 series, is classified in a special process, which means a special check of compliance with quality requirements related to welding in companies with welding operations (ISO EN 3834).

The main condition for this and the resource of each production is the staff, and that is why we offer you staff training according to world standards and IIW recommendations. The course will be held from November 2020 to May 2021.

The training of international engineers and international welding technologist is performed according to a clearly defined program of the International Welding Institute (IIW), defined by the document Doc. IAB-001r10-19, Doc. IAB-252r5-19, Minimum Requirements for Education, Examination and Qualification - PERSONNEL WITH QUALIFICATION FOR WELDING COORDINATION (as described in ISO 14731 and other International and National Standards) - International Welding Engineer (IWE), & International Welding Technologist (IWT) .

Upon completion and passing the course, you receive an IWE / IWT diploma that is recognized worldwide. Obtaining a European diploma EWE (European Welding Engineer) / EWT (European Welding Technologist) is possible with a special request and compensation DUZS CertPers.

Candidates wishing to complete a course in International Welding Engineer (IWE) must have a degree in technical engineering (at least three years of study) obtained at universities, technical universities or colleges of applied (vocational) studies (B.Sc. or Eng.) Or engineering degree (MSc or BSc, at least three years of study) obtained at Universities, technical universities, colleges of applied (vocational) studies or specialists - applied (professional) engineer.

Candidates wishing to complete a course in International Welding Technologist (IWT) must have a high school diploma for the profession of technical technician (4 years of schooling) or be a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering (3-5 years). The course program includes classes (and exercises) in the following areas:1. Welding procedures and equipment;2. Materials and their behavior during welding;3. Constructions and calculations;4. Production and applied engineering. The course lasts a minimum of 448 hours for engineers and 369 hours for technologists. The practical part of the course lasts for 60 hours. Exams are taken in the previously mentioned four areas, in writing (test) and orally, and the final paper is prepared and defended. After passing the exams (4 written exams + 4 oral exams and final exam), the course participant receives an international diploma - "INTERNATIONAL WELDING ENGINEER" or "INTERNATIONAL WELDING TECHNOLOGIST" (International Welding Engineer or International Welding Technologist). Lectures and exercises will be held three days a week: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If necessary, it can be more intense. Contact for more information:Darko Bajic, PhD069 052 879mail: darko@ucg.ac.me
