Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 8th International Scientific-Professional Conference IRMES 2017
At the Faculty of Production and Management in Trebinje, on Friday 16.06. A meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 8th International Scientific Conference IRMES 2017 was held, which will be held in this city from 7-9.9. 2017.
This year's conference is devoted to the field of mechanical elements and systems in the energy sector. The conference organizer is the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Montenegro. The conference is organized under the auspices of the ADEKO Association (Association for Design, Elements and Constructions), a society that brings together scientists and professional researchers in the field of designing and constructing machine elements and systems. The conference co-organizers are faculties of the University of East Sarajevo - Faculty of Production and Management and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The conference partners are IFToMM (International Federation for the Promotion of Science on Mechanisms and Machines) and the City of Trebinje.
Today's meeting was attended by the president of the association ADEKO Prof. dr Radivoje Mitrović (Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade) and President of the Conference and Organizing Committee Prof. dr Radoslav Tomovic (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica).
They informed the participants about the previous activities at the conference organization and presented the preliminary work program of the conference. In addition to Professor Tomovic, from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica, the meeting was attended by Prof. dr Radoš Bulatović and Prof. dr Janko Jovanović. The meeting was also attended by mayor of Trebinje, Luka Petrovic. The energy sector represented : doc. dr Blagoje Šupić, executive director for economic affairs of Electric power RS, Gordan Mišeljić, general manager of Hydroelectric Power Plant on Trebišnjica, Ilija Tamindžija, technical director of HET and Boro Vujičić, executive director of Thermal Power Plant Gacko.
The meeting was also attended by Marko Radić, director of the Tourist Organization of the City of Trebinje.
It's prominent The significance of the participation of business entities in the work of the Conference and the importance of cooperation between economy and science, which was especially emphasized after the recent Investment Conference in Trebinje and local government plans to launch actions to support private entrepreneurship. In addition to the scientific part of the conference, organization and thematic panel on this topic, it would enable interested parties to share experiences with engineers from region and researchers from the Faculty, which would ultimately encourage entrepreneurial activity.
Mayor Petrović gave unequivocal support to the organization of the conference and formulated very important proposals for raising the level of the conference in order to affirm the resources of the city of Trebinje, the wider region and the RS as a whole.
The meeting was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Production and Management - Prof. dr Dušan Jokanović, doc. dr Obrad Spaić, doc. dr. Ljerka Jeftić and doc. dr Budimirka Marinović, as well as the dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from East Sarajevo, Prof. dr. Ranko Antunović, co-organizers of the conference. They, along with other participants, defined the plan and the precise agenda for the successful organization of the conference.
At the meeting defined the clear objectives of the conference: gathering the academic community, researchers, engineers and business participants in order to exchange their experiences and establish new business relationships in order to encourage better cooperation and economic activity in the region, as well as presenting new products and solutions. They connect with the use of mechanical elements and systems in the energy sector to better utilize available resources, increase energy efficiency and reduce maintenance and production costs. Special emphasis was put on the applicability of scientific results of the conference in solving numerous problems in practice.
