Sport Success of Professor from the Faculty of Philosophy on Athletic Race "Podgoricka desetka"
On fourth Podgoricka desetka, on athletic race for 10 km held on Sunday on Gorica hill, the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic had its representative. Actually, more than that. On a prestigious sport manifestation for the fourth year in a row organized by the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica, Assistant Professor Dusan Krcunovic did not only participate.
In category 50+ after great competition with excellent Split racer Josip Jerkovic and experienced racer from Podgorica Dragoljub Miladinovic, Krcunovic managed to win second place. Even though professor Krcunovic did not succeed to defend a last year’s title with personal record, this is not unsatisfactory.
In overall placement representative of the Faculty of Philosophy from AK Nikšić was 21st, out of almost 200 finishers leaving behind entire ‘army’ of younger competitors.
This token of success show that philosophy and athletics complete each other: first discipline reigns over sciences, and second among sports both looking for fitness.
At the same time this is call to all academics from the Faculty of Philosophy to actively train sport since not always that Latin proverb applies Pedibus compensanda est memoria ("Not having in the head one has in legs"). Just the opposite!
