The Faculty of Philology UMNE Awarded with Plaque for Quality and Successful Implementation of the Jean Monnet Module
The Executive Agency of the European Commission for Education and Culture (EACEA) awarded the Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro with the Jean Monnet Module 2021-2024 plaque. The plaque is awarded as a sign of recognition for a successful implementation of the project within the Erasmus + program from the Jean Monnet action entitled: Multidisciplinary studies on integration and migration through intercultural dialogue - EMIMI.
This award recognizes the contribution of the Faculty of Philology to the development of European studies with a focus on European integration. At the same time, the plaque is a mark of excellence that ensures the visibility of Jean Monnets actions inside and outside the institution.
The Faculty of Philology has issued an invitation for the enrollment of the second generation of students of the Jean Monnet Module, expanding the target group to include students from all faculty units of UMNE. The EMIMI module allows students of the Faculty of Philology and Philosophy of the UMNE to gain knowledge about topics from the field of European studies within the following subjects: Historical context of migration and intercultural dialogue in Montenegro, Institutional development of the idea of European integration, European labor law, European public opinion on migration, Financial markets and economic migrations, The role of significant historical eras, agreements, personalities, Francophonie and the Montenegrin diaspora in the creation of European values, Language and translation aspects of European integration, European integration and migration in media and political discourse. Lecturers from the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Philosophy and Philology participate in the implementation of the EMIMI module. In addition, the Jean Monnet EMIMI Module seeks to implement the concepts of inclusive education and lifelong learning.
