Professors from SP for Italian language and literature Radmila Lazarevic, Deja Piletić, Olivera Popović and Cvijeta Brajičić participated in the international scientific meeting: "Italiano e lingue slave: confronto, contatto, instructing" (Italian language and Slavic languages: comparison, contact, teaching ). This gathering is the second in a series of international scientific gatherings initiated by colleagues from the Faculty of Philology in Skopje and the University of Krakow on the subject of contact between the Italian and Slavic languages.

 

On this occasion, Assoc. Dr. Radmila Lazarevic spoke about the challenges and problems of translating the colors of Dantes "Divine Comedy" from Italian to Montenegrin and Serbian languages.

 

Asst. Dr. Deja Piletić, together with her colleague Prof. Dr. Jelena Drljević from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, presented the results of their joint research, which dealt with the analysis of the transmission of culturally specific elements in the process of translating tourist texts from Montenegrin and Serbian into Italian.

 

Asst. Dr. Olivera Popović spoke about the Italian translations and compilations of Viale de Sommiers travelogues about Montenegro, while Assoc. Dr. Cvijeta Brajičić presented the results of her research on the topic of the presence of Italianisms in the Montenegrin magazine "Zeta".

 

This international conference gathered Italianists from different countries and created an environment for the birth of new ideas and opportunities for international scientific cooperation in the field of Italian studies.
