Dean's Statement

Faculty of Sport and Physical Education is the place for people who love ideas, especially because one excellent idea can make difference in a knowledge society and change the world in a flash second. Also, our institution love people who want to think about physical activity, health and sport from all multidisciplinary perspectives. Consequently, our faculty represents diverse and vivid community dedicated to education and science, which is improving every second by taking large steps. Above mentioned improvement is reflected in development of extraordinary potentials of all members of our community, primarily of students, who we can be proud of, because their activity is rapidly spreading out of our institution, principally through participation in various projects, but through mobility as well, which is more and more abundant. The important roles belong to teaching assistants and professors, who proudly sign the name of our institution in scientific papers indexed in internationally recognized magazines, on oral and poster presentations, on plenaries and various committees which are parts of recognized scientific congress but on leading positions of regional and international projects as well.

Since its establishing in June 2008, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education has functioned as an independent university unit of University of Montenegro and since that moment has been given a chance to develop its future in an independent way and to follow world` trends literally. In the elapsed period, our main aim was to set foundations which would make our students citizens of global world and give them chances to become teachers, coaches, journalists and scientists appreciated much beyond borders of our country; to cooperate with local and state institutions in the field of sport and physical educations, but to administrate them as well; to cooperate with European and word associations but to guide them too. Altogether, I would emphasize that we are the union made of scientists, dedicated teachers, students and professional staff who share dedication to excellence and desire to make difference in people`s lives.
