After the student passes this exam in the Law of the Sea course, he will be able to: define and explain the terms and problems that arise in the area of ​​the law of the sea; state and explain the legal division of the sea, as well as the legal framework that regulates this issue; discusses the rights of coastal and non-coastal states, as well as the protection and preservation of the marine environment; compare different theoretical understandings of this field, discuss their relationship and argue the advantages and disadvantages of individual understandings; explain the jurisdiction of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
