Meeting Held on the Establishment of the Office of Student Disability Services (KAPSIN)

Representatives of the Office of Student Disability Services (KAPSIN) met yesterday with the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Prof. Dr. Veselin Mićanović, to discuss the implementation of activities planned for the upcoming period, with the aim of improving the position of persons with disabilities at the level of higher education. On this occasion, the Vice-Rector was introduced to the 2026 Work Plan, which serves as the basis for the Office’s activities during the current calendar year.

The meeting also addressed a review of activities implemented as part of the recent establishment of the Office, as well as the definition of next steps aimed at its further institutional consolidation and the development of communication with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the University and beyond. Particular attention was given to cooperation with key educational and other institutions, whose involvement is expected to contribute to improvements in the field of education of persons with disabilities.

The Office is focused on building an inclusive academic environment that ensures students with disabilities feel accepted and equal, enables their active participation in all aspects of academic life, and provides access to appropriate and continuous support throughout their studies. The ultimate goal of this approach is the systemic improvement of educational conditions and the creation of prerequisites for the successful academic and professional development of students with disabilities.
