At the Ulysseus workshop, topics and scientific Interests in the field of Mathematics were exchanged

The Ulysseus scientific workshop on the topic "Mathematics in Machine Learning," initiated by Prof. Dr. Vladimir Jaćimović from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Montenegro, was held on Thursday, December 5th.

In response to an open invitation from partners in the Ulysseus alliance to present their recent research on this topic, representatives from the University of Genoa (Cesare Molinari, joint work with C. Vega, H. Labarriere, L. Rosasco, S. Villa, MaLGa + Math Department, Universita di Genova), the University of Côte dAzur (Samuel Vaiter, CNRS researcher at LJAD, Université Côte dAzur), and the University of Münster (Hendrik Kleikamp, based on a project with other representatives including Bernard Haasdonk, Martin Lazar, Cesare Molinari, Mario Ohlberger, Lukas Renelt, Felix Schindler, and Tizian Wenzel, Mathematics Muster, Cluster of Excellence) attended. More than 20 participants registered to listen to their presentations.

The participants were also informed about current opportunities for further collaboration in teaching and scientific activities, primarily through the open call for virtual COIL classrooms and the scientific collaboration call that will open in January. Scientists working on this topic within the Ulysseus alliance expressed interest in deepening collaboration and creating joint projects.

Presentations from the workshop will be published in the Ulysseus open repository. The event agenda is attached.
