In a significant stride towards fostering international collaboration and educational exchange, representatives from the University of Montenegro had a fruitful visit to the University of Miskolc, Hungary in the period from 7-10.05.2024. The highlight of this visit was the formal signing of the Panonia Agreement, solidifying the partnership between the two esteemed institutions.

Led by Vice Rector for Education, Professor Dr Veselin Mićanović, Board member Professor Dr Dijana Vučković and Dr. Srna Sudar, Head of the Project Office, the University of Montenegro delegation engaged in constructive discussions and Greennovation conference aimed at enhancing cooperation and bolstering internationalization efforts.

During the official visit to the University of Miskolc, the delegation from the University of Montenegro had the privilege of meeting key figures including the Rector of the University, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, its Vice Dean for Internationalization, and the Head of the R&D Department and StartUP Center. These meetings served as platforms to explore various opportunities for collaboration and to lay the groundwork for future joint initiatives.

The signing of the Bilateral Agreement for the Pannónia Programme marks a significant milestone in the partnership between the two Universities. This agreement underscores their shared commitment to facilitating student and staff mobility, thereby enriching the academic experiences of individuals from both institutions.

The Pannónia Programme, generously funded by the Government of Hungary, serves as a platform for higher education mobility within and beyond Europe. It offers diverse opportunities for students, teachers, researchers, and staff, encompassing both general mobility scholarships and specialized programmes for excellence. The overarching goal of the Panonia Agreement is to establish a robust framework for ongoing collaboration in mobility and exchange activities between the University of Montenegro and the University of Miskolc. By formalizing this partnership, both institutions are poised to unlock new avenues for academic growth, cultural exchange, and mutual enrichment.

The University of Miskolc offers degrees in over 300 fields of study within its seven faculties and one institute. We focus on gaining, applying and sharing knowledge – and not just from books and lectures, but also the knowledge (and wisdom) that comes from encountering new situations and a variety of people. The University is involved in various European research projects, and in R&D cooperation with commercial partners, both Hungarian and international/multinational. It offers English programs on BSc, Master and PhD level.
