University of Montenegro at EIT HEI ABCD project training “Deep tech focused Design thinking concept and its integration in subjects”, 25-26.09.2023, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina
The EIT HEI ABCD project – The Alliance of Boundary Crossing for Deep Tech, organized the training “Deep tech focused Design thinking concept and its integration in subjects” on 25-26.09.2023 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina. The project partner - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Sarajevo, gathered nonacademic and academic staff from project partner institutions to rise understanding of design thinking concept and its application to deep tech area through developing a logic of starting up a business with the business model canvas. The training aimed at equipping future trainers and lecturers with a comprehensive understanding of deep tech focused design thinking concept, entrepreneurship, and the logic of starting up a business.
The main outcomes of the training are: Demonstrating a deep comprehension of the principles and methodologies of design thinking, concept, including empathizing with users, defining problems, ideating, prototyping, and testing solutions; understanding the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship/business/management/technology with the application of business model canvas; developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills, enabling future trainers and lecturers to guide and mentor aspiring potential entrepreneurs effectively; Fostering creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, encouraging participants to develop business ideas for successful and sustainable business; cultivating effective communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design thinking and entrepreneurship concepts to diverse audiences, and collaborate in teams, fostering a cooperative and supportive learning environment that reflects real-world entrepreneurial settings.
