Delegation of the University Agency for Francophonie (AUF) for Central and Eastern Europe Visiting the University of Montenegro

The University of Montenegro hosted a working meeting with representatives of the University Agency for Francophonie (AUF) for Central and Eastern Europe on Wednesday, October 12. The visit of 16 AUF representatives for Central and Eastern Europe led by the regional director, Mr. Mohamed Ketat, represents a significant step forward in intensifying the Universitys cooperation with the largest network of universities in the world, as well as an opportunity for more significant participation in AUF projects and activities. 

During the day-long visit, the representatives of AUF were addressed by the Rector of the University, Vladimir Božović, PhD, who held a meeting with the director of AUF for Central and Eastern Europe, Mr. Ketat. The meeting discussed achievements, strategic directions of development and future projects of the University, as well as AUFs vision for the Balkan region. Special importance was placed on cooperation with AUF in the field of greening the university campus and sustainable development of the University, encouraging the participation of staff and students of the University of Montenegro in AUF projects, as well as the possibility of organizing important events of the University Agency for Francophonie at the University of Montenegro. 

The vice-rector for internationalization, Sanja Peković, PhD, as well as the vice-rector for science and research, Irena Orović, PhD, who presented significant results in the field of internationalization of the University of Montenegro and the strengthening of university Francophonie. As part of the visit, which was held as part of the Strategy Development Days (JADS - Journées Annuelles de Déclinaison stratégique) of the regional AUF, a tour of the Rectorate building was arranged for representatives of the national offices of the AUF in Albania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and Romania, including the newly formed Francophone employment office, as well as a visit to the campus of the University of Montenegro.
