Visit of prof. Dr. Dejan Jović to the Historical Institute

Prof. Dr. Dejan Jović from the Faculty of Political Sciences from Zagreb visited the Institute of History of the UCG and presented several of his books on that occasion. He also accepted to be the keynote speaker at the scientific conference organized by the Historical Institute "Constitution 1974 - five decades later", held on April 24 in the hall of the UCG Rectorate. He is the author of several books: "Yugoslavia: the state that died" (also published in the United States of America), "War and myth: identity politics in contemporary Croatia", "Introduction to Yugoslavia" and editor of five collections. His expertise focuses on the issues of Yugoslavia and its disintegration, the transition of post-Yugoslav states. He received his doctorate from the London School of Economics. Jović is a lecturer in political science studies at the University of Stirling (Scotland), director of the Center for European Neighborhood Studies at the University of Stirling, special advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (and European Integration) in Croatia, president of the Board of Directors Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO).
