Summer school in Bar

In Stari Bar, from March 27 to 31, 2023, the Summer School for history and art history students of regular and master studies from Slovenia and Montenegro will be held.

The summer school is part of the activities in the project: Social, economic and cultural interaction of the Slovenian and Montenegrin coast and mountain hinterland from the late Middle Ages to the 19th century, which is implemented by the History Institute of the University of Montenegro and the Faculty of Philosophy in Ljubljana.

Through the work of the joint summer school for students in Bar, as a permanent form of cooperation between institutions, students will be introduced to the challenges of studying the meeting of the Mediterranean and mountain world and the local, through a comparative study of historical phenomena and cultural heritage.

The summer school in Stari Bar will be opened on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, by the vice-rector of the University of Montenegro, prof. dr Veselin Mićanović.
