Journalism Taught in the Radio-Television of Montenegro
Radio-Television of Montenegro (RTMNE) strives to education, and provides the opportunity for training and employment of young staff in public service. The General Director of RTMNE Bozidar Sundic announced, in meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science (FPN) Milan Markovic and the Professor Natasa Ruzic, on the occasion of signing the Memorandum on Cooperation, providing the practice for journalism students in the Public Service.
‘The RTMNE pays full attention to education. World remains on young people and they undertake the role belonging to them’, Sundic said.
The Memorandum has foreseen practice for FPS students to acquire practice at the RTMNE Portal, in Radio or Television of Montenegro.
‘It is the right time for young people to choose the future. There are three labor units- Portal, three television and two radio programs. We are focused on young staff’, Sundic said.
He emphasized the RTMNE needs more cooperation with the FPS.
‘We need young people to come and to attend. We work 24/7, without free weekend. We would be pleasured if they join us, and ask whatever they want to know‘, Sundic said.
Professor Natasa Ruzic considers practice for journalism students in public sector, significant, for the reason that the RTMNE has no ‚tabloid journalism‘, as she stated.
‘Problem is less interest of digital generation in journals and radio as form of media, than it used to be before. This year will be no problem with radio staff’, Ruzic said.
Director of the RTMNE Slavko Djurdjic emphasized the significance of FPS to be a staff base for future journalists. As he says, young people are inclined to run to television, because it offers instant popularity.
He advised young people to focus on Radio and Portal of Montenegro, as the media for higher popularity.
He said the RTMNE has purchased the most contemporary reportage cars with 13 cameras, which is, as he says, ‘a mobile television‘.
Director of Radio Montenegro Budimir Raicevic said that National Radio has a great problem with staff saying the young staff is needed.
He stated that from a dozen of people form the FPS most of them have remained employed.
‘Everyone who goes through the radio school will have the opportunity for permanent employment‘, he said.
Dean of the FPS Milan Markovic said he was honored and privileged to visit the Public Service today, advising students to show eagerness and knowledge.
