Anthropometric Measurement of the Montenegrin Male Cadet Volleyball Team

On Tuesday, August 1, the Faculty for Sports and Physical Education, University of Montenegro conducted the measurement of the Montenegrin male cadet volleyball team, which started preparations in Nikšić for the Balkan Championship which will be held from 8 to 12 August in Serbia.

Anthropometric measurements were performed by Ivan Vasiljević and Rajko Milašinović, and the cadet team selected by selector Zoran Vukčević had an insight into the percentage values of fat, bone and muscle tissue, the total amount of water in the body, the ratio between the left and right side of the body, and metabolic parameters, and the volleyball team members were also measured the values of skin folds in particular body segments. The obtained data allows precise programming of the diet and alignment with a specific training program, and the above measurements provide key information that influences changes in training procedures and periods of training, which is of particular importance for young athletes.
