Professors from Faculty for Sports and Physical Education, University of Montenegro conducted  anthropometric measurements of Montenegro women's national handball team, which is on preparations for barrage matches in Bar before they participate in World Cup in Germany, which will be played against the national team of Belarus.

Measurements were conducted with Tanita scale, by professors Ivan Vasiljevic and Marija Bubanja, and this is device that allows athletes to monitor all relevant parameters.

"Tanita scale works on the principle of bioelectrical impedance which represents a rapid and non-invasive method to assess body composition. Based on the software of the device, which has a balance, women's national handball team of Montenegro have had an access to the percentage of the fat in the body structure, as well as in the segmental analyzing of the percentage of fat content (fat percentage of the left and right hand, and the percentage of fat in the left and the right leg), said Vasiljević.

Handball players were the given information about the values of visceral fat and the percentage of muscle values and bone mass, as well as metabolic parameters. In addition to the above parameters the values of skin folds at the individual segments of the body were also measured.
