Panel discussion - Development of electronic sports in Montenegro and the region on March 27th

In line with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University of Montenegro, the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education will contribute to the jubilee campaign by organizing a panel discussion on the topic "The Development of eSports in Montenegro and the Region – Challenges and Perspectives", which will be held on March 27, 2024, at 11 a.m.

The electronic sports industry has been experiencing steady growth over the past decade, despite the pandemic that has affected the entire planet. Although major sports events have been canceled or postponed, electronic sports show a strong growth trend, which, on the other hand, poses various challenges. This panel aims to explain the current challenges and highlight the developmental perspectives of electronic sports and their impact on traditional sports, public health, and tourism.

Speakers at the panel discussion will include Filip Šoć, President of the Montenegrin eSports Association, Mia Kraljević-Ćalasan, Director of the NGO 4 Future, Prof. Dr. Stevo Popović, a professor at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, University of Montenegro, and Ilija Stojović, Manager for organizing fair appearances and events at the Tourist Organization of Bar.

Since the seating capacity in the hall is limited, registration is necessary and can be done by calling 040 235 207 or emailing fakultetzasportnk@ucg.ac.me, no later than March 25 at 12 p.m.

The agenda is attached for reference.
