FUNK Festival: Play "Misogynistic Stories" on Wednesday in the lobby of the Technical Faculties

The play "Misogynistic Stories" will be performed in the lobby of the Technical Faculties at the University of Montenegro (UCG) in Podgorica on Wednesday, October 9, at 7:00 PM, as part of the FUNK Festival — the Festival of Art, Science, and Culture of UCG.

The play, produced by the Faculty of Dramatic Arts UCG and the Tivat Cultural Center, is the master’s performance of actress Anđela Marunović, under the mentorship of Prof. Dubravka Drakić. It explores the darker side of human nature through the lens of misogyny, depicting social norms, prejudices, and power dynamics that define and limit womens lives. Each story presents extreme examples of sexism and misogyny, often portraying women as either victims or perpetrators in dark, ironic, and grotesque situations.

The Festival of Art, Science, and Culture — FUNK, which also features Misogynistic Stories, was launched to mark the 50th anniversary of the University of Montenegro. As a multidisciplinary festival, FUNK promotes the art, science, and creativity of students and academic staff. It takes place in October at the UCG campus and other locations in Podgorica. In addition to UCG productions, the festival will also host renowned artists and scientists from the region and around the world.

The play, like all events at the Festival of Art, Science, and Culture — FUNK, is open to the public. We invite the media to attend and be part of this unique artistic evening.
