Neda Stojkanovic, Best Student of the Music Academy for Study 2019/20 Year

Student of the Music Academy of the University of Montenegro, in Department Performance Arts, Neda Stojkanović (9.78) is pronounced the best student of its faculty for the current study year 2019/20.

Efforts required by the stated results, activities in the faculty, road to achieving goal, motivation, plans for the future and in professional terms and advice for future colleagues were discussed with her.  

Neda says that award for the best student of the University of Montenegro motivates her to work more diligently as well as it presents  a certain kind of confirmation for each effort and work is payable in the end.

"Since I enrolled academy with generation older for two years, in the beginning there were some insecurities and anxiety whether I have decided too early for this step and how I will blend in with older colleagues. I had a great support from my family and my violin professor Vujadin Krivokapic. However, I realized very soon I did not make a mistake", the student said.

Best student of the Music Academy for the current year thinks that every success is followed by a certain dose of renunciation, but if you accord all obligations and if there is love for what you do then success comes by itself.  

"Our academy gives good conditions for progress and improvement. I participated in many workshops and seminars of home and foreign lecturers. I performed very often in Montenegro and abroad and cooperated with colleagues from music academies outside our country. All these activities helped to define myself as an artist", Neda says.

During studies greatest motivation presented love for music and violin. "Numerous awards on national and international competitions gave me additional motivation. When you love your call as much as I do and when you are lucky to learn from professors of violin like I had during studies the motivation is abundant."

When it comes to goals she set for herself for the forthcoming period, in domain of professional improvement, she says she is currently focused on work and improvement of performance abilities as well as on making progress as much as possible with the help of professors in playing her instrument in order to have a greater step forward to further goals.   

"Students who enroll artistic academies are characteristic by forming profession much earlier before enrolment time so they do not need additional motivation. As far as our Academy is concerned, like I said, there are many conditions for progress the only that matters to take love with yourself and eagerness for progress", Neda said.
