During experimental exercises in the laboratory, students perform experiments to confirm the basic laws and principles they study in lectures, as well as the synthesis of compounds described/characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy. Students acquire basic laboratory skills and learn experimental techniques that enable them to integrate their acquired theoretical and experimental knowledge in the field of General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Environmental Protection.
The laboratory also conducts research with two main focuses:
- Synthesis of new compounds (ligands and complex compounds of transition metals)
- Spectrophotometric characterization of obtained products
Research is conducted through intensive collaboration with other laboratories in the country and abroad, within which masters theses and final papers are also realized.
