NOBEL PRIZE IN PHYSICS 2023

 

Lecturer: Academician Prof. Dr. Predrag Miranović

 

Academician Predrag Miranović is a full professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Montenegro, Department of Physics. He served as vice-rector (2007–2008) and rector of the University of Montenegro (2009–2014). He was the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Montenegro (2017–2022). He was a lecturer at the University of Tokyo (1997–1998) and conducted postdoctoral specialization at the University of Okayama, Japan (2001–2003). He also worked as a research associate at the Institute of Physics in Zemun (1998–1999). His research focuses on the transport and thermodynamic properties of anisotropic superconductors. During the scientific session, he will present the scientific results for which the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded in 2023.

He was elected as an associate member of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2008 and as a full member in 2018. Since 2020, he has been the Secretary of the Department of Natural Sciences at CANU.

The session will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 12:00, in the hall of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, Podgorica, Ul. Rista Stijovića 5. We invite all interested parties to attend the session.
