From Schlager to Hits: University Park Becomes Meeting Point of Generations – Music, Bazaars, Beer Pong, and Valuable Prizes Await all Visitors

The Podgorica Picnic, one of city’s most recognizable events which unites all generations, returns on Wednesday, October 1st, in the University of Montenegro Park, from 3:00 p.m. until midnight.
Organizers from the Students’ Cultural Centre (SCC) announce a rich program combining music, creative activities, and open-air socializing, once again designed to attract everyone – from students to families and lovers of urban culture.
“Podgorica Picnic is not just entertainment, but also a space where young people can express themselves, meet new people, and enjoy high-quality cultural content. We strive every year to offer something new and make the event interesting and inclusive for all visitors,” SCC emphasized.
Once again, music will be heart of the event. Day begins with charm and nostalgia of schlager hits presented in a unique way by Peđa Radović, a regionally known DJ. The stage will then host Miqelly, with a set full of energy and unexpected sonic twists, leading the audience into evening hours. At sunset, the band Marko Vlahović & Boka All Stars takes over. The grand finale of the night features Croatian sensation Jakov Jozinović, whose energy and charisma promise an unforgettable evening.
The atmosphere of the Podgorica Picnic is best captured in after movie – watch it here.
In addition to music program, visitors can enjoy a vinyl record fair, a comic book exchange, and a crafts bazaar where local artists showcase their work. There will also be a beer pong tournament for those in the competitive spirit.
A special value of this year’s Picnic is the collaboration between SCC and the company M:tel, which has long supported projects aimed at young people and their creative expression. Through joint activities, such as the M:tel corner with interactive content and numerous prizes, the idea is emphasized that cultural events can also be an opportunity for socializing, play, and connection. Thanks to such partnerships, events like the Podgorica Picnic gain a new dimension – becoming more accessible, engaging, and closer to young people, while simultaneously encouraging collective efforts to build a community full of youthful spirit and innovative ideas.
Such events are especially important for young people as they provide a space for creativity, exchange of ideas, and socializing in an urban yet relaxed environment. Through the Podgorica Picnic, SCC seeks to show that quality entertainment can and should be a combination of art, music, sports, and educational content.
The Podgorica Picnic is organized with support of partners: the Student Parliament, the University of Montenegro, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the company M:tel, Sava Insurance, and Niksic Beer.
