CYBER MUSEUM OF ORIENTAL-ISLAMIC HERITAGE IN MONTENEGRO

CYBER MUSEUM OF ORIENTAL-ISLAMIC HERITAGE IN MONTENEGRO

Cyber musealisation provides a completely new approach to the preservation and presentation of cultural heritage. Thus, we construct a general picture of a cultural system, not only according to the concept that establishes the curator, but also the user is actively involved in the process. Cyberisation involves the digitisation of existing funds of material culture, with establishing a network in which those parts of cultural heritage that are not located in museum depots (private collections, direct testimonies, etc.) also take part. According to the Program for the Protection and Preservation of Cultural Heritage of Montenegro for 2016, the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro approved the Project Virtual Presentation (Cyber Museum) of Oriental-Islamic Heritage in Montenegro or originating from Montenegro (Contract No. 02-1295/2, implementation: the Historical Institute of UCG, project menager: Dragana Kujović, Ph. D). Based on materials collected during research and conclusions derived from these insights, with the auspices provided by the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro, the presentation of the Cyber Museum of Oriental-Islamic Heritage in Montenegro is successfully created, as the most direct and effective way of museum communication. The extraction and digital transfer of the Oriental-Islamic segment of our cultural heritage, located in a common cyber space, represent a permanent tool for their protection and comprehensive presentations.
