Biography - Sinđić-Grebović Radmila

Radmila Sinđić Grebović, PhD Civil Eng., Associate professor

 

Radmila was born in Nikšić, Montenegro, where she completed her elementary and high school education. For her successful study results, she received the “Luča” certificate. She has achieved outstanding success by winning the maths competition for elementary school students in the ex-Yugoslav countries.  

Radmila gained her university degree at the Faculty of Civil Engineering “Veljko Vlahović” in Titograd in 1988. She was awarded the “19 . decembar” prize in 1985 for exceptional academic achievements.

She received her technical masters degree at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belgrade with her masters thesis “Analysis of Parameters of High Strength Concrete”.

Her doctoral dissertation, “The Influence of High Strength of Concrete on Reinforced Concrete Beams Shear Strength, “ was defended at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica on 8th October 2009.

1.10.1988. - 13.01.1992. Construction company “Radnik”, Bijelo Polje, Montenegro – Construction Supervisor, Structure Designer;

July - August 1989 “Gradis” – Maribor, Republic of Slovenia - Designer of pre-stressed concrete constructions

01.02.1993 – now – University of Montenegro, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Podgorica

Scientific grade appointments and engagements at the University of Montenegro: 

  • 1993 - 1998 Teaching Assistant – practice part on subjects Building Materials and Reinforced Concrete Structures;
  • June 1998, appointed as an Assistant  (Academic appointment according to the former Montenegrin Law)
  • 1998 – 2009 - Continued teaching on previously mentioned subjects;
  • 2009 – 2011 Teaching assistant with a doctoral degree – teaching subjects Civil Engineering, Materials, and Reinforced Concrete Structures;
  • March 2011  Appointed Assistant Professor by the Act of the Senate of the University of Montenegro, number 08-453
  • 2011 – 2017 as Assistant Professor she was teaching on subjects: Pre-stressed Structures and Energy Efficiency of Buildings (Specialist Academic Studies), Building Materials, Design and Execution of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Technology of Building Construction,  Building Physics and Installation and Energy Efficiency (Basic Applied Studies), as well as subjects on different Master programmes: Energy Efficiency at Building; Concept of Energy Efficiency and Management – EU and National Regulations; Structures of High-Strength Concrete;  Special Chapters on Testing Of Structure Materials; New building materials technology.
  • In March 2017, she was appointed Associate Professor by the Senate of the University of Montenegro, where she teaches subjects in reinforced constructions and energy efficiency.
  • In March 2022, she was re-appointed as an Associate Professor. 

She has published numerous scientific papers and participated in several scientific projects. She has collaborated on the development of new regulations in the field of civil engineering. She is also involved in matters of harmonization of local civil engineering standards with European norms.

She is a member of the Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro. She is an active participant of various committees of the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro (President of Technical Committee TK 009 – Building products and member of Technical Committee TK 004 – Systems of Managing Energy and Energy Efficiency).

She is a member of the engineering supervision team for the highway Bar-Boljare.

She speaks Montenegrin and English.
