Learning outcomes After passing the exam, students will gain knowledge about the concepts and models of mental hygiene and mental disorder, understand different approaches to the prevention of mental illnesses, recognize the causes and manifestations of stress, crises and trauma and the effects on mental health, know about the possibilities of modifying factors that can be morbid factors, such as and knowledge of the psychological, social and behavioral factors that can support the development of mental health and increase resistance to disease, while reducing and delaying disability and stimulating recovery.

Aims Acquiring knowledge about disease prevention, recognition of symptoms and signs of disease in surgery. Acquiring specific knowledge and mastering skills in the field of health care, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. Assessment of health care needs in order to plan, implement and evaluate. Training to recognize and undertake appropriate procedures for life-threatening persons in the ICU and lead the care team in hospital conditions.
Learning outcomes After completing the one-semester course and passing the exam, the student should: 1. be able to recognize emergency situations in surgery and undertake appropriate procedures; 2. mastered the skills necessary for active participation in emergency diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; 3. be qualified to manage the health care team in specialized units for surgical intensive care; 4. be qualified to apply acquired knowledge, skills and practical skills in observation of surgical patients, care, treatment and rehabilitation; 5. be able to determine the patients needs for care, methodical procedures in the health care process and to acquire empathic professional qualities.
