Learning outcomes:

Upon the completion of this programme, the student will show the ability to: Prepare and implement regularly and other types of classes, clubs and extracurricular activities in all subjects (except foreign language) in the first and second cycle of elementary school. Apply the knowledge of pedagogy, psychology, didactics and teaching methodology in the process of teaching younger grades in elementary school; Use basic knowledge of social and natural sciences, of Mathematics and Arts and create encouraging teaching situations for the learning process of younger grades in elementary school; Develop his/her competences for lifelong learning and his/her future pupils of younger grades in elementary school; Evaluate didactic-methodological theory and practice in younger grades of elementary school taking into account the relevant criteria. Design research projects in the field of didactics and teaching methodology; Show teamwork and presenting skills; Modify the existing teaching models (methods, techniques, strategies of learning and teaching) adapting them to new conditions in practice while implementing teaching younger grades of elementary school. Evaluate theory and practice of teaching/learning in younger grades. Modify elements of teaching practice in younger grades taking into account relevant theories and research findings. Critically analyses teaching curriculum, textbooks and other sources of knowledge. Create contemporary methodical models – well theoretically based and practically useful.
