After completing the one-semester course and passing the exam, the student should: 1. be able to recognize emergency situations in surgery and undertake appropriate procedures; 2. mastered the skills necessary for active participation in emergency diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; 3. be qualified to manage the health care team in specialized units for surgical intensive care; 4. be qualified to apply acquired knowledge, skills and practical skills in observation of surgical patients, care, treatment and rehabilitation; 5. be able to determine the patients needs for care, methodical procedures in the health care process and to acquire empathic professional qualities.
