After finishing the course and passing the exam in General Pathology, the student of dentistry should acquire the following learning outcomes: 1. Recognizes the essential characteristics of the general pathological processes. 2. Recognizes the basic characteristics of certain pathological processes. 3. Discloses the morphological and functional disorders in the general context of pathological manifestations. 4. Differs morphological and functional disturbances of organs, organ systems and whole-body. 5. Has abilities that relate to sampling for histological processing, fixing samples, laboratory procedure, macroscopic and microscopic analysis, histopathological methods and autopsy techniques. 6. Possesses the ability to communicate between the physician-pathologist, pathologist - patient. 7. Correlates the pathological diagnosis with the resulting symptoms, prognostic and predictive factors.
