On successful completion of this course students should be able to: 1. Explain the impact of network communications on the modern world, and the Internet - basic platform for communication. 2. Describe basic functions, protocols, technologies and architecture used in modern computer networks. 3. Gain the skills necessary for the implementation and use of computer networks and specific Internet services. 4. Individually designs, installs and administers smaller computer networks. 5. Capable of resolving failures as well as optimizing computer networks.
