The student will be able to: understand the structure and manufacturing process of composite materials, macro/micromechanical behavior of composite materials, properties and behavior of different types of composite materials and methods of calculating elastic constants, predict the strength and other mechanical properties of fiber, laminate and dispersion reinforced composites.
