After passing this exam, the student will be able to: 1. Differentiate techniques for obtaining powders and their characteristics depending on the applied technique, 2. Interpret the results of powder characterization: particle size, particle size distribution, shape, density, porosity, 3. Know the theoretical basics of densification by shaping and compacting, that is, by sintering 4. Identify technological problems in obtaining, characterizing and consolidating powders based on acquired theoretical knowledge and solves them, 5. Examine some of the most important properties of sintered ceramic materials, 6. Differentiate types of ceramic materials, 7. Choose a ceramic material for a specific application.
