After passing the exam, the student should be able to: 1. Achieve successful communication in English using appropriate register and correct vocabulary and grammar at the given level of learning. 2. Enrich their technical vocabulary in the fields of mechanical engineering and road traffic. 3. Use individual words, appropriate collocations, phrases, and idioms in context. 4. Make complex sentences using common compounds and fixed expressions in academic language, as well as in the language of their future profession. Understand and correctly apply dependent clauses and passive structures in reporting. 5. Learn the difference between neutral and marked words, technical and semi-technical terms; learn how to express the degree of confidence in someones assertions. 6. Learn to create a list of bibliographic units of the works used in research.
