Once the student has completed the exam he/she will be able to - Determine the equilibrium positions of conservative systems and examine their stability; - Conduct a linearization of systems of differential equations of motion near a stable equilibrium position; - Analyzes free and forced, damped and undamped, oscillations of the system with one and two degrees of freedom; - Analyzes oscillatory behaviour of simple models of mechanical systems; - Describe and analyze the oscillations of elastic bodies with the linearly distributed mass.
