Upon the completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. name, describe, and explain basic concepts of informatics and computing; 2. differentiate computer components and explain the functions they perform; 3. define and illustrate data models, methods of their organization, storage, exchange, and processing in computer systems; 4. use applications for word processing (Word) and presentation (PowerPoint); 5. manipulate files and folders within the Windows operating system.
