Students will learn to: 1. Define literature regarding its linguistic, fictive and communicative nature and interpret the functions of literature. 2. Classify literature based on various criteria with comparison and critical examination of those criteria. 3. Use terms of literary theory in interpretation of lyric, narrative and dramatic texts.
