Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Determine the relationship between independent clauses within a compound sentence in German; 2. Determine the relationship between dependent and independent clauses within a complex sentence; 3. Recognize types of dependent clauses in German; 4. Recognize possibilities of transforming a dependent into an independent clause and vice versa; 5. Distinguish types of conjunctions in German.
