After successfully completing this course, the student should be able to: 1. Describe the poetic and genre features of Weimar Classicism and German romanticism 2. Outline the clear division of German romanticism 3. Categorize the works of German literature emerged in the 18th and at the beginning of 19th century by literary periods and genres. 4. List the most important authors of Weimar Classicism and German romanticism and their works. 5. Recognize the central motives in the respected works from the syllabus, considering historical and political context. 6. Review the short text of literary criticism considering authorship, references and quoting
