After completing the course and passing the exam, the student should be able to: 1. Outline the basic characteristics of social, politic and cultural life in the territory of present-day Italy from the 15th to the 17th century; 2. Explain the main characteristics of the Italian Renaissance; 3. Describe the development of painting, sculpture and music in the territory of present-day Italy from the 15th to the 17th century; 4. Describe the most significant religious movements of present-day Italy from the development of Christianity to the 17th century.
