After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. Analize the genesis, structure, theme, language and style of representative works of Italian literature written from Baroque to Postmodernism, relying on concepts and theories that dominate in the studies of Italian language and literature; 2. Compare the developmental streams of Italian literature; 3. Undertake an argumentative discussion on topics related to Italian literature of Baroque, Enlightenment, Romanticism, Realism, Modernism and Postmodernism; 4. Write an essay or term paper on a particular topic in Italian literature.
