After passing this exam, the student will be able to: Explain the shift in literary paradigms at the beginning of the 20th century. Recognize the turn of South Slavic literature towards the experiences of European literature, especially French Parnassianism and Symbolism. Explain the incorporation of literature into general concepts of avant-garde after World War I. Analyze the reasons for the impossibility of strictly determining the beginning and end of stylistic formations. Evaluate representative literary achievements of this period.
