Upon completion of the course in Digital Television and Multimedia Communications, a student who passes the subject will be able to: - Explain techniques and standards for data packaging, encoding, storage, and transmission. - Understand the basic characteristics and purposes of video communication technologies and protocols. - Understand the basic concepts of digital television – DVB (standards for compression, digital modulation, system architecture, TV signal transmission). - Define interactive multimedia services. - Understand basic standards of multimedia communications, QoS, and security measures in multimedia networks.
