After passing the exam, students will be able to: • Explain the emergence and development of European political integration; • Analyze functioning of the main EU institutions (European Council, European Commission, European Parliament, Council of the EU); • Explain the process of inter-institutional cooperation at the EU level after the adoption of Treaty of Lisbon; • Analyze the problem of democratic deficit in the European Union; • Describe the role and emphasize the most important examples of the EU actions at the international level
