After passing the exam, the student will be able to: - Explain the origin and development of European political integration - Analyze the functioning of the most important EU institutions (European Council, European Commission, European Parliament, Council of the EU) - Explain the process of inter-institutional cooperation at the EU level after the adoption of the Treaty of Lisbon - Analyze the problem of the democratic deficit of the European Union - Describes the role and points to the most important examples of EU action on the international level.
