Learning outcomes:

After successfully mastering the course students will be able to: • Explain the economic significance of the pig production, • Identify and describe the most important race of pigs in the world, • List the ways and characteristics of different methods of selection of pigs, • Define production parameters in swine reproduction, • Distinguish between systems of pig production and appropriate technology operations, • Identify the nutritional needs of different categories of pigs, • Analyse production indicators and suggest improvements in production.
