Learning outcomes:

After acquisition of the course curriculum students will be able to: • explain subject of organisation design study, • classify basic models of organisation, • explain differences among basic – typical models of organisational structure, • classify contemporary models of organisational structure, • explain concepts of specialisation, departmentalization, coordination and delegation of authority within organisation, • explain importance of formalisation and job classification, • analyze basic rules for designing organisation, • analyze problem of human factor and technology in the organisation, • explain role of performance measuring and awarding of employees in the organisation, • integrate basic methods and techniques of designing organisation, • classify types of organisational structures, • analyze advantages and disadvantages of different organisational forms, • explain procedure of developing model of organisational structure in relation to the elements of the organisation, • create model of organisational structure with respect to the nature of a specific organisation.
