Why Opt for the Faculty of Philosophy?

The Faculty of Philosophy is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Montenegro, which during its long existence has spawned many study programs that have become independent faculties. It is a modern institution that today is not only a place where teaching takes place and science develops, but also a gathering place for academics and the wider community, a place where tribunes, scientific and professional gatherings are held, books are promoted, and polemics are discussed. It is a faculty that follows modern trends in education and which offers its students a broad education in the field of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and interdisciplinary sciences.

In addition to the large number of study programs offered, the Faculty of Philosophy is recognized as a meeting place for different cultures, diverse opinions, and through academic openness and active participation in public events, the Faculty strives to be a center of lifelong learning and education of responsible and socially active citizens.

The Faculty of Philosophy, with its rich and diverse offer of academically oriented programs, is a meeting place for fruitful scientific research and dynamic teaching activities. Students have the opportunity to follow their interests and acquire academic knowledge and skills within nine study programs, seven of which are organized according to the 3 + 2 model. These are programs for philosophy, sociology, history, geography, pedagogy, psychology and for preschool education. The two study programs are organized according to the model of integrated five-year studies, as they prepare students for regulated professions. These are study programs for teacher education. Eight masters study programs have been organized at the Faculty, including an interdisciplinary masters program for inclusive education. Also, within five study programs, doctoral studies were organized, as the highest level in the educational vertical.
