Confucius Institute in its program plans to introduce Tai Chi Chuan course which would certainly attract wide public attention.

What is Tai Chi Chuan – fighting skill, meditation in motion, lifestyle or all of the stated? Tai Chi Chuan is connected with many things and it is mentioned as an excellent Chinese rhythmic gymnastics exercise which used to be fighting skill, it is also mentioned as “meditation in motion” but also as a way of improving people’s health.

According to unofficial records, Tai Chi Chuan in various forms is exercised by about 300 million people in the world. Due to big changes in styles conditioned by “a relaxed lifestyle” most of people who were interested to exercise it, Tai Chi Chuan becomes “meditation in motion” and gains a huge popularity offering the promise “of instant health and spiritual recovery without any hustle”, which is, you will agree, slightly possible. Beauty of the skill is in its flexibility – everything exercised may be adjusted to capabilities of the person doing the exercises. There comes the opinion that  Tai Chi Chuan may be exercised by anyone at the age from 7 to 77 and that is true, yet you may not compare the capacity of the one 16 and 68 years old. Answer to the question from beginning may be any of the mentioned. The only question is how much time you want to dedicate to yourself.
