Master in Translation Studies - Mission and Development

The postgraduate master studies in translation were founded in 2006 at the Institute of Foreign Languages (now part of the Faculty of Philology).

As is the case with the specialist studies in translation, this programme as well was at first organised for the English language solely; since 2010, however, students have been able to study French and Russian as well, including the combinations of these languages. The curriculum is in line with the principles of the Bologna Declaration. The professors and other lecturers are by and large experienced translators and interpreters.

As of 2020/2021, the students will be able to enrol two-year master studies in Translation (for the English language only), in line with the 2017-2022 accreditation.
